LG has recently launched the LG Optimus Black Android smartphone into the Indian market.The Indian market which really is facing scarcity of smart phones at competitive prices compared to the world welcomes this Android smartphone.
The LG Optimus Black is a sleek 4 inch capacitive touch screen equipped smart phone running Android 2.2 Froyo out of the box.It is a scaled down version of the LG Optimus 2X,but surprisingly performs better,all thanks the new custom LG 2.0 UI which looks far more optimized than the one we saw in the 2X which though had a dual core processor was found to be laggy.
The Optimus black is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor and a PowerVR SGX530 GPU resting on a TI OMAP 3630 chipset which ensures a decent user experience with minimal lags on the Android OS.
Another must to mention feature would be its build,which LG is boasting most about.The phone has an ultra slim metal bezel,that looks sexy,but isn’t what we’d like to call sturdy,a few accidental falls can surely get it out of shape,but again thankfully we have a Gorilla glass display which atleast ensures you have a scratch free display.
The LG Optimus Black has an 4-inch IPS (Other wise called as NOVA) display with a decent resolution of 480*800 pixels.The display has decent brigthness and color contrasts and nice viewing angles,also it has good sunlight visibility.

LG Optimus Black P970 VS Samsung Galaxy S I9000
The phone’s 2 GB only internal memory could be a big let down,as the competition,especially the Legendary Samsung Galaxy S I9000 which is now available at a similar price offers 16GB of it.Again,the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 has a superior AMOLED display,a better GPU,the PowerVR SGX540 resting on the hummingbird chipset which surely looks like a better deal overall.
However the LG Optimus Black has a 5MP camera with LED flash ( no LED flash in the Samsung Galaxy S) and a 2MP front facing camera (VGA in Samsung Galaxy S).Also the LG Optimus black has a better 1500 Mah battery compared to 1350 Mah in the Samsung Galaxy S.

PowerVR SGX530 GPU
then later on u mention it as
PowerVR SGX540 GPU.

All Android based smartphones are good smartphones and LG has good Smartphones as it is the case for this LG Optimus Black smartphone with its good features like the 1 GHz processor it introduce.
